Cucumber Lemon Water with Cilantro

I drink water.  Lots and lots of water.  And while I love water, sometimes it can get a little boring very boring.  I’m sure most of you would agree.

What are some healthy alternatives?

  • Unsweetened Iced Tea
  • Seltzer water (I like to squeeze a little lemon or lime in mine for a natural flavor)
  • Flavored water

Alternatives to avoid:

  • ALL SODA – diet included
  • Crystal light or any of those artificial packaged options
  • Store bought juice
  • Pretty much anything else with artificial sweeteners and/or sugar

But back to the flavored water alternative: so easy to make, refreshing and you get some health benefits to boot!

Cucumber Lemon Water with Cilantro

Makes lots and lots

What you need:

  • ~3 liters filtered water
  • 1 lemon, rinsed, sliced thin and de-seeded
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 c cilantro, rinsed

What to do:

  • Add lemons, cucumber and cilantro to filtered water and stir
  • Let sit for 30 minutes and enjoy throughout the week, keeping refrigerated
